Is the free version actually usable, or just a limited trial?
The free version is usable for real work. The six everyday tools (disbursement, multi-plaintiff, referral split, statutory interest, probate, fee in context) run start to finish and show the complete result; printed output carries a JuraSum watermark. The strategy tools open in a working preview so you can see precisely how they read.
What does “preview” mean for the strategy tools?
Each strategy tool opens on a realistic worked example, with the walkthrough available, so you see the full build and learn how to read it. Pro adds entering your own figures, saving the matter and printing without a watermark.
Where do saved matters live?
On your computer and, once you set up a vault, in encrypted form on JuraSum's servers. Pro lets you save a matter and reopen it later. Once you set up a vault, each saved matter is encrypted with your firm's key before it leaves your computer, then stored so that it is available wherever you sign in; JuraSum cannot open it. You can also export a matter to a file to keep a copy or share it with your team. An exported file is not encrypted.
What is the founding rate?
Firms that subscribe on or before 31 December 2027 pay $29 a month, and that rate stays with the subscription for as long as it remains active. From 1 January 2028 the price for new subscriptions is $49 a month. Beta firms keep their free period through 31 December 2026 and then move to $29 a month. If a subscription is cancelled or ends for non-payment, a later subscription is at the list price.

Can my firm have more than one seat?

Where does my client data go?
Calculations run in your browser. The figures you enter leave your computer only when you save a matter with a vault set up, and then only in encrypted form that JuraSum cannot open. Your email address and subscription are held for sign-in and billing. The Data handling page sets out the details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro is billed month to month. If you cancel, Pro remains active through the period you paid for.
Is this legal advice?
No. JuraSum is a calculation aid. You supply and confirm every rate, schedule, and figure against controlling authority. Where a tool fills in a rate or schedule, you confirm it before relying on the result.
